Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of November 13th - expanding desires, getting lucky, possible confusion, fresh starts that require a total commitment, danger will robinson

s by marina kochetyga

This is a big LOVE and MONEY week with Venus meeting up with Jupiter (in Scorpio) at the beginning of the week and the BIG New Moon in Scorpio at the end of the week!

On Monday, Venus catches with Jupiter (luck, expansion) in Scorpio. I think we should be able to see them in the early morning sky, weather permitting, at about 5:30 AM EST (google for your local area).

This energy will AMPLIFY what we want.

Do we really want it? YES, we really, really do.

Venus themes (PLUS the theme of your natal Scorpio house) of love, money, our values and self-esteem will be given a boost. These two will be within orb of each other for the rest of the month. This is GOOD energy. Potentially GREAT energy!

The rest of Monday is a bit of a mixed bag.

We might wake up on the wrong side of the bed with the Moon (in Virgo) squaring Saturn. Is it Monday already? The Moon will go void (10:45 AM EST) and stay that way until she moves into "can't we all just get along" Libra at 6:26 PM EST. Our best bet - don't start anything new or send anything out into the world we want 'something to come of' during the Moon's void.

Mercury (in Sagittarius) will be squaring Neptune (in Pisces) potentially fogging up communications, information or our thinking. Not the best time to sign on the dotted line. We could be a bit unrealistic. Give the facts another go-over.

Coming at the same time as the Venus/Jupiter conjunction this square isn't a stop sign, but it is a flashing yellow light. Proceed with caution. Double check a few things.

The Venus/Jupiter luck/expansion conjunction as well as the New Moon on Friday will be all about our natal Scorpio houses. Here is a rundown by sign - if you know your ascendant sign check that, too:

ARIES - expansion/new beginnings via 'other people's money', loans, debts, inheritances, partner's income, shared resources, intimacy
TAURUS - expansion/new beginnings within your partnership, equal relationships
GEMINI - expansion/new beginnings with your health, day-to-day work, routine, pets
CANCER - expansion/new beginnings via creativity, romance, children, fun
LEO - expansion/new beginnings via home, family, domestic issues
VIRGO - expansion/new beginnings via communications, information, ideas, plans, sibling situations
LIBRA - expansion/new beginnings via your personal resources, income, values, self-esteem
SCORPIO - expansion/new beginnings via any of the above or below, you could be in the right place at the right time Scorpio - this is YOUR connection to Jupiter and YOUR New Moon!
SAGITTARIUS - expansion/new beginnings through a hidden/background desire/dream taking off, help from behind the scenes, intuition
CAPRICORN - expansion/new beginnings through groups, the internet, your public image, a new friendship
AQUARIUS - expansion/new beginnings with career, public image, relationship with authority
PISCES - expansion/new beginnings with something/someone foreign, travel, education, wedding, legal issues, politics, publishing

On TUESDAY, the Moon in Libra will sextile (opportunity) Mercury (in Sagittarius) - this is good energy to be communicating/socializing with other people. We could have some new ideas now or new, opportunistic information could come in. This is good energy for business and personal relationships and interactions. In the P.M. Mars will be conjuncting the same Libran Moon pushing us to take action or deal with other people's actions. This energy could make us (and other people)  - determined to get something started/moving, feeling brave, feeling passionate or just feeling pissed off.

On WEDNESDAY, the Moon in Libra will square Pluto, oppose Uranus and sextile Saturn before going void at 7:50PM EST. Pluto could have us pushing, maybe dealing with power struggles, control issues. Uranus could offer up a surprise, attract us toward something unusual or just deliver us restless legs (or restless something else). The opportunity today comes with Saturn - we could be making a commitment or solidifying something now. Be responsible. Do the right thing.

On THURSDAY, we have a trine (brakes off) between Neptune and Venus and the Sun and Chiron. Excellent energy to get a reboot/healing through art and meditation and time spent in nature. Brakes are removed through forgiveness, compassion and acceptance now. We'll talk about this stuff in greater detail in the dailies. This will likely relate to whatever the week's Jupiter/Venus conjunction is kicking up. The Moon will have moved into Scorpio favoring research, investigation, financial issues, intimacy issues, death, rebirth and reproduction.

Late FRIDAY into SATURDAY we have a BIG New Moon in Scorpio. I will do a post. This gives our Jupiter in Scorpio year-long theme real OOMPH and demands our total commitment to anything kicked off now. The Moon will inconjunct Uranus (in Aries) so there could be something out-of-the-blue here or maybe the inconjunct gives whatever is happening a greater impact than we expected. The Moon will be trining Chiron. There is something uncomfortable here even if we are getting what we want.

On SATURDAY and SUNDAY, we have a potentially violent square between Mars (in Libra) and Pluto (in Capricorn). This could also have a connection to the New Moon. This is about power struggles and possible confrontations.

Keep a cool head. Avoid dangerous situations. This isn't such great energy for the collective. Hopefully we are able to avoid damage here.

With Mars in Libra this could be about a partner/ally/enemy situation involving (Pluto) financial, death, divorce, reproduction, karma, transformation, sex, other people's resources in a Capricorn setting - something that rocks our 'structure', established authority, etc.

This is very ambitious energy. People will be looking to get ahead and come out on top. The word "ruthless" about sums it up. If this is connected to the expansion of that thing we really, really want - I don't want to think about what we will do to get it!

Stay honest. Keep things above board.

This energy CAN be used to move a mighty big mountain. If we can do it without making any enemies, they will not prove so easy to dispense with later, so much the better.

Uranus Transit of Taurus | 2018 thru 2026 - OPEN CALL for free chart analysis for blog readers - CLOSED

um, yes - that's a guinea pig ...
OPEN CALL IS NOW CLOSED - thank you to the 25 or so people who responded. We have a nice variety here to talk about. I will get this posted within the next week or so.

*****

So, we haven't looked at individual charts here on the blog in a long time!

Let's do that.

Uranus - the planet of the new and unexpected - is gearing up to move from Aries, where he has been hanging his hat since March 11, 2008 (and if that date sounds familiar, we had the Fukushima nuclear disaster the day Uranus changed signs) into Taurus on May 15th, 2018.

So, the Aries ruled house of our natal chart is about to stabilize - as Uranus leaves - and our Taurus house (the house we naturally seek stability!) is set to rock and roll.

If you want a heads up about what Uranus through Taurus is offering you let me know - this is where Uranus will be when the world totally morphs over the next few years, so this space in your chart is going to be an important part of your transition/contribution and worth taking a look at.

If you are interested in having your Uranus transit analyzed - I just need your birth info (if I don't already have it on file) - date, place and time of birth.

Send the info to Cat at cativins@gmail.com

The results will be posted on the blog, but your real name and info will not. This is totally private!

Last Quarter Moon, Mars Inconjunct Neptune, Saturn Trine Uranus - a nagging sense of discomfort, needing to push ourselves, working for change, stagnant stuff gets stirred up, creating the structure that brings us more freedom

rusted wings by DarkGomo

Tonight, we have a fast moving Grand Fire Trine between the Moon (in Leo), Saturn (in Sagittarius) and Uranus (in Aries). Then the Moon moves on and we are left with the 3rd trine between Uranus and Saturn, within the last twelve months, perfecting tomorrow and within orb for the next few weeks until Saturn moves into Capricorn. We also have Mars inconjunct Neptune - 11 degrees - and the Last Quarter Moon in Leo (involved in the Grand Fire Trine) at 18 degrees.

The Last Quarter Moon (Sun square Moon) is a halfway point between the waning and waxing cycles. It is a time of adjustment and tension. There is no resting place here. Something wants to move. Something needs to resist. We are closer to the next New Moon than we are to the last, so we can't see clearly where things are headed. The Mars/Neptune inconjunct says something about wanting to get away from it all, but either no rest for the weary or escaping into fantasy creating disharmony or imbalance here.

Actually all most of November is a bit tricky.

We could be feeling ambitious and fired up, but then maybe can't get our shoes to hit the pavement.

There are multiple inner planets in their 'detriment' now - meaning hanging out in their polarity signs. Mars is in Libra (Mars rules Libra's polarity sign of Aries), Venus is in Scorpio (Venus rules Scorpio's polarity sign of Taurus) and Mercury is in Sagittarius (Mercury rules Sagittarius' polarity sign of Gemini). None of these guys are at their best. No one here is truly comfortable. It's like your office is being painted and you are working in the hallway. Mars and Venus are in mutual reception which is helpful. But if we are going to get anything done, we are going to have to push ourselves.

I was in hub's shop for a couple hours the other day and noticed all the low-level complaining that goes on over there. Politics, the weather, traffic - everyone who stopped in had something to gripe about (maybe this is how men connect? or just Mars in Libra?) while they waited on whatever hubs was doing. No one spoke about anything important (although they do sometimes come to George with important issues at times - he is a bit of a garage guru, plus he is sometimes there at night and they stop in after work - I tell him he's sort of like a dry bartender). There was just a nagging sense of discomfort with everyone. Like they were all walking around with pebbles in their shoes, but couldn't find the time, or strength, to bend over and dislodge them.

That's what these planets in their detriment can feel like. It can feel like failure. It can feel like giving up. There's a kind of inertia we need to push through now. So, let's push on. We are doing important work by pushing through the sludge even though it might look like we are only sweeping the porch.

Saturn is trining (brakes off) Uranus. This has been in play for weeks and perfects on Saturday. This is the 3rd of these trines within the past twelve months. This energy has played a big role in 2017. Saturn rules our past, solid structure and stable ground and Uranus points a finger toward an uncertain future and announces, "THERE!" - then gives us a kick. Saturn rules control and order and Uranus rules change and turmoil.

This weekend's trine (in play until mid-December) tells us these two diverse energies can somehow work together now.

Maybe our goals and firm plans (Saturn) need to stay flexible, so we can pivot (Uranus) when we need to. Maybe our wild and outlandish schemes (Uranus) need to be grounded in something solid (Saturn) to get off the ground.

It reminds me of conservatives (Saturn) working with/embracing Trump (Uranus) in 2017 which at other times would have been impossible. This energy shifts in 2018 as Saturn comes home to Capricorn - limits, rules, traditions and accountability are strengthened. And Uranus moves into Taurus - shaking up the most comfortable/stable spaces of our charts. New ways of surviving/thriving will be needed. Uranus and Saturn will be in trine again next summer though (in different signs than in 2017).

Tomorrow's Virgo Moon (void until lunchtime EST) will draw us toward routine, practical matters. That's all well and good, but keep in mind the Saturn/Uranus trine in play, too - trines are so smooth they are easy to miss. Pay attention to what falls into place now.

(and yes, I know I said we had to push through with so many personal planets in their detriment and we do - but the trine won't need a push - the trine will just be there and we can choose whether or not to put it to use)

This is our last chance with this energy in these signs (Capricorn/Aries) for decades. We have maybe 5 or 6 more weeks to shift into something new or tweak something old - Saturn is allowing us to take our time with this, but Uranus is preparing to (literally- Taurus rules the planet!) shake the ground beneath our feet.

I wrote about tomorrow's trine between Saturn and Uranus HERE - check Saturday and take advantage of this energy in some way.

Sun Sextile Pluto | the opportunities come from stepping into our power, using our influence responsibly, living our truth, pushing without generating resistance and without falling on our ass, accepting what we can't change

Bridal party by demi2004

Today we have the Sun (in Scorpio) sextiling (opportunity) Pluto (in Capricorn) at 17 degrees.

Sextiles are compatible aspects. So the Sun and Pluto are working well together now. They strengthen each other. And our Scorpio/Capricorn house themes and the archetypal themes represented by Scorpio and Capricorn which naturally support each other are strengthened and activated now, too.

The opportunity with this energy comes from stepping into our power and responsibility.

We are all UBER-influencers. We influence our own lives and the lives of other people. With Capricorn lasting things are accomplished over time.

There are no shortcuts to respect, especially self-respect.

We will be feeling ambitious. It will be easier to find a passion and pursue it now. This is good energy to get to the bottom of things, focus on important issues and make changes for the better.

Maybe we can push without eliciting the usual "pushback" response. We can be confident without turning people off by being perceived as pushy. The light tossed on power/control warms us and makes us feel safe somehow.

It is important to use these energies wisely. Misuse of power has consequences. This energy is best used to control ourselves NOT to control other people.

We want to be living (Sun) in our truth (Pluto). Planet Earth and its billions of inhabitants need us to be living in our truth.

Today's sextile is a good kick off point for a move in that direction. This "living in our truth" thing gets bandied about, but what does it really mean? It's about real honesty, right? Recognizing that to a very great extent we are the creators of our lives here.

Maybe it's about recognizing -

1. Our suitcases. What has happened to us in the past is not nearly as important as the way we carry what has happened to us. It isn't about what our mother said to us in 1987. It's about why we remember that thing our mother said to us in 1987 when presumably she said a million other things to us, too, that we don't remember. Why do we remember that? Why are we carrying that? Why are we still choosing to own that? It's Scorpio season - the dirty undies at the bottom of our suitcase need to come out to be laundered or tossed.

(and working with this analogy this could be good time to clean our closets - giving away the things we have outgrown - we can shift emotional energies through shifting physical energies, the results are not always long-lasting, but they can get us moving in a new direction)

2. You complete me. Worst movie line ever. This whole looking for someone/something to 'complete us' is an endless search that will always only lead us back to ourselves. No one is coming down into the well to save us. No one has the missing puzzle piece to finish our picture. We are going to have to scale the damn wall and get ourselves out. We might just have to live with an incomplete puzzle. Why is a finished puzzle better than one in process? Where the hell is the fun in that?

3. Hero worship. We can only stand on a pedestal for so long before our legs start to cramp and we lose our balance (and the same goes for the people we look up to). Pedestals are way too small. We will always outgrow them. There's a reason the little silver guys on our trophies are welded on there.

4. You can never have enough money. This isn't about how much you care about money or how much money you actually have, this is about how much money you feel you have. We will never feel like we have enough money to make us safe/happy. The finish line will keep getting moved. This is why doing it for the money or making money our main goal is a great way to make sure we can never win.

5. Taking things personally. This is a major reason we get 'out of our truth'. Trying to live up to other people's expectations. Their crap isn't about us. This doesn't mean it isn't showing up in our life to serve a purpose for us. Other people are our mirrors. They are always showing us a part of ourselves. This doesn't make us responsible for what other people do or want though, even if the situation looks like this is true - we are their mirrors, too. The buck stops with each of us.

We make choices everyday about what we do with our time/energy/resources, what we put into our mouths, what we do with our bodies, what we watch/listen to, what we say out loud and what we tell ourselves.

Today's opportunistic energy makes this very fertile ground to shift/create something more strong and lasting here.

We already have shovels in the dirt we might as well dig a foundation.

So take some kind of action today toward shining in a more authentic way - Capricorn is a cardinal sign that initiates. Let's use this power wisely.

Venus into Scorpio | cravings, control issues, intimacy, passion, manipulations, hidden resources, new financial opportunities, looking under the bed with a flashlight

La passion by Marta Syrko
Venus dives into transformative Scorpio today. Venus themes - women, love, money, our values and self-esteem - become more intense.

I've written some about it in the weekly HERE - check Tuesday.

Scorpio Suns and Ascendants (Scorpio on the cusp of the first house of your natal chart) become more attractive - making them both easier on the eye and it easier for them to attract what they want.

For all of us, our Scorpio houses get more attractive, too ... and more complicated.

Although the theme of whatever house is ruled by Scorpio in our natal chart is naturally complicated!

Honesty is recommended for the next few weeks because we will all be feeling our way through everyone's bullshit.

While Venus is in Scorpio (through December 1st) we are charged with figuring out what we really want and why we want it. Much of this work will be done unconsciously. With Scorpio (modern ruler Pluto, ancient ruler Mars) this is alot about power and control.

Does the other person/situation make us stronger or more vulnerable?

We could be merging our resources (ruled by Venus) with other people's resources (ruled by Scorpio/Pluto) - this could take the form of relationship commitments, sex, reproduction, mortgages, financing, cooperative ventures. Things along these lines that we might not normally consider we could be attracted to now.

These attractions could easily lapse into obsessions.

We could fill hours looking at expensive houses on the internet or other people on okcupid. If something begins to feel like, "we must get this NOW" we will know we have slipped over the edge. It will be time to ask ourselves what we are really looking for. With Venus (and let's not forget Jupiter) visiting our Scorpio house the answers will be available to us if we seek them ... and maybe even if we don't.

A few years back I had a long Pluto transit (conjunction) to my natal Venus. This is kind of like our annual Venus into Scorpio transit on MAJOR steroids.

It turned on like someone had flipped a switch in me as Pluto moved within orb and turned off just as quickly when he moved out. This process took years. You can only have one Pluto transit like this in your lifetime and many people never have one (Pluto moves very slowly and may not contact your natal Venus degree during your lifetime). My Venus being in a fire sign in my 2nd house certainly exacerbated the whole thing.

During that transit - I became obsessed with reading true crime books, sorting out the family finances and renovating my bathrooms. All quite Plutonian subjects.

I also became quite obsessed with my husband.

Strangely obsessed.

Even jealous to the point of concerning myself with what he was looking at (and believe me there wasn't anything of any concern here). This was something I had never even thought about before. We were at least 10 years into our marriage and our physical relationship got crazy intense.

Needless to say this made him a very happy man ... until it didn't. Being an Aquarian Sun with an Aries Moon he needs his space and I was, quite unconsciously and I wasn't studying the astrology then, always there.

When it was all over, and like I said this lasted to a greater or lesser degree for years and stopped on a dime, I had a very real understanding of a kind of passion that I (also being a detached Aquarius) would have never otherwise been able to experience. I understand totally why my soul chose this and am grateful, although at the time it was a kind of agony/ecstasy of vulnerability as I gave my power away.

I understand people's obsessions in a deeper, more personal, way now. Something that even my Scorpio rising with Neptune one degree from my ascendant didn't get (probably my square to Saturn/Sun preventing it from fully manifesting). Sorry for the astro-babble here.

In more recent years hubs has had a Pluto transit to his natal Venus. It just moved out of orb a couple months ago. He did not get obsessed with me - no lessons for either of us needed there I guess - DAMMIT.

But he did get obsessed with the idea of purchasing quite an expensive object. Two of them actually. First a boat purchased at auction (surreptitiously with joint finances, all very Plutonian) after Hurricane Sandy, which he proceeded to tirelessly rehab for a year. We had it in the water for one glorious summer and it has been parked/docked for the last two. He has a million excuses about why this is, but the truth is his longings and affections had moved on to object number two.

Which he proceeded to purchase, again secretly with joint finances, after spending hundreds of hours researching on the internet. This time his "longing/compulsion with having" ended almost instantly upon purchase because the transit ended that very week. We are still sorting it all out. The money, what all these back door deals mean about him/me/us, my feelings of being deceived - all very Venus/Pluto. I almost typed "sniffle" but it's a bit more than a sniffle at the moment.

Anyhoo, I write about these things briefly to give you some idea of the kind of things you could find yourself dealing with over the next month (and even the next year with Jupiter in here).

Venus in Scorpio could uncover some not-so-pretty truths. Things we might not want to see or know about. But like a car wreck on the side of a highway we won't be able to look away.

We could be amazed by the depth of our feelings now.

It's also a good time to uncover other types of hidden resources. I would say 'start digging' but with Jupiter in residence your shovel is probably already in the dirt.

(Venus will conjunct Jupiter in Scorpio on the 13th - keep an eye on that one)

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of November 6th - a long complicated chapter ahead, love and finance issues feel like life and death, ambitions, innovation, itchy feet, we smell smoke

the violinist by andreiciungan

Let's do the aspects first this week and then take a look at the Moons. I may post a bit less this week - feeling a need to get my head out of the clouds ...

On SUNDAY, Mercury heads into Sagittarius for a 2 month stay (he usually stays in a sign for about 3 weeks!).

See my long post about this HERE.

On TUESDAY, Venus leaves her home sign of Libra and dives into Scorpio. Scorpio Suns and Scorpio Risings get more attractive (more physically attractive and more able to attract what they want). Your Scorpio house gets more magnetic, too!

(and speaking of magnetic WARNING SHAMELESS PLUG AHEAD - have you seen my magnetic aromatherapy lockets - handmade by my two hands from a recycled steel car part - you can check them out at aromatherapylocket.com)

Venus rules love, money and women. Getting what we want with any of them becomes an act of seduction. We need to entice. We need to risk our flaws and shadows being visible.

Venus in Scorpio knows our need for acceptance will make us invisible, so she risks rejection to be seen.

Beauty won't be as attractive to us now as the scars underneath.

Venus in Scorpio doesn't want to be friends - she wants to be soul-mates. We will feel more "all or nothing" with our passions now. Things can crash and burn here. And for better or worse she isn't afraid to manipulate things to get what she wants (and yes, this, and her obsession with secrets and power will be her/our downfall).

People will be drawn to what is hidden; to what we don't show them. Keep this in mind if you sell things for a living. Buyers will want to discover things for themselves.

There will be no place for our secrets (especially women's secrets and love and money secrets and the secrets buried in our natal Scorpio houses) to hide. We draw to us during Scorpio cycles what we have not allowed ourselves to acknowledge in ourselves. So pay attention to what you attract now and see what the person/situation is showing you. There will be lessons about power, playing the victim, jealousy, obsession, compulsion, manipulation, intimacy, truth, other people's money (taxes, loans, spouse's earnings, inheritance, etc), sex, reproduction, life, death and passion.

Venus will be in Scorpio until December 1st.

On THURSDAY, the Sun (in Scorpio) will sextile Pluto (in Capricorn). Since Pluto rules Scorpio we get a double-dose of Pluto making this especially powerful energy for change and transformation. We will be feeling ambitious. It will be easier to find a passion and pursue it now. This is good energy to get to the bottom of things, focus on important issues and make changes for the better.

On SATURDAY, Saturn (in Sagittarius) will trine (brakes off) Uranus for the 3rd time this year. As last week's painful square with Chiron separates, Saturn moves into position to trine Uranus working to bring our lives (and goals) more into alignment with our beliefs and our ideals. This has been a theme all year.

So maybe something old (Saturn) is new again (Uranus). Maybe this is a good time for new (Uranus) structures/boundaries/rules (Saturn). Maybe we work (Saturn) for change (Uranus). Maybe the establishment (Saturn) is shaken up (Uranus). Maybe for some of us structure (Saturn) creates more freedom (Uranus). Whatever this is the old (Saturn) and the new (Uranus) are working together. Remember trines are 'brakes off' periods when things flow. They are also easy to miss for exactly this reason. Pay attention.

Also with trines we don't need to push - stuff falls together. With Saturn time is on our side as long as we are doing our job with the energies.

Anything contacting Uranus can give us itchy feet (and unexpected out-of-the-blue situations). Now is a good time to work (Saturn) that itch. Solid plans began now (Saturn rules time) can create big opportunities for change (Uranus). Innovations offer breakthroughs. Remember that North Node in Leo - what does your heart want? Which direction is your natural spotlight? Check your Leo and Sun houses for themes!

Also on SATURDAY, the Sun will square the North Node (in Leo and the Sun rules Leo) and the South Node (in Aquarius). Squares are tension. With the Sun in Scorpio maybe something taboo/secret or involving other people's resources/finances will need to be worked through before we can proceed. The aspects today are creating a Grand Fire Trine, so there is real opportunity here to burn away the old, dead energy and make space for some fresh air.

This may or may not feel good depending on how wedded we are to what is on fire ....

Note all the aspects I have written about above are noted for the day the energies are exact. They can be in play for some time before and after. There are some other aspects we will talk about, too.

xo all

The Moons in the week ahead : there are no Void Moons during work hours. On MONDAY, the Moon is in Gemini, so we will be busy - communicating, multi-tasking, lots of activities and errands. There could be some kind of unexpected opportunity late in the day as the Moon trines Uranus, but first it will square Saturn, so we will need to get through some kind of block/depression there. On TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY the Moon will be in Cancer so we could be focused on home and family issues. Security themes/patriotism - I would bet on a big voter turnout in the U.S. on Tuesday. Nurturing, motherhood - what we need to feel safe. We could find ourselves more emotional with whatever we are dealing with since we now have both the Moon and Venus in water signs. On THURSDAY and FRIDAY the Moon is in Leo focusing us on our creative work, children, recreation and romance. Next weekend the Moon will be in organized Virgo - so the perfect time to do all the fall yardwork, paperwork, closet cleaning, etc.

Mercury into Sagittarius and the Upcoming Retrograde | thinking BIG, BIG news, higher knowledge, open windows, KARMIC release, we all take the RED PILL

the red pill by ahermin
Today we have Mercury - the ruler of our minds, thinking, communication, the process and physical means of getting things from point A to point B, our local environment, our siblings - coming up from the depths of Scorpio and moving into the "sky's-the-limit" space of Sagittarius.

The scope of information available to us broadens. All the little details we have been immersed in during Mercury's transit through Scorpio fade from view a bit.

It's like we have applied a wide angle lens to our camera. There is more to see (know) but less to specifically look at.

Sagittarius (ruled by Jupiter) is optimistic energy.

So those big bodacious ideas will carry us further now. People will be thinking and talking BIG. Making BIG plans. Using BIG persuasive, language. It's a good time to sell your "whatever it is", but also a good time to be sold a bill of goods. Keep in mind that words and information could mislead us as our focus moves away from those pesky details and onto the larger landscape.

Sag's mutable energy is rather boundless and stretchy. This can be a good thing. Sometimes a very good thing. But it can also have its drawbacks. The fly in the ointment - always a fly in there even as the weather grows frosty. Damn flies.

Sagittarius is the great teacher/sage. The archer rules wisdom and philosophy. This is a good time to take something we are interested in to a higher level. Sagittarius rules our collective 9th house (plus the house in your chart with Sagittarius on the cusp!) so communications and information could focus on 9th house themes - legal issues, foreign issues, higher education, travel, religion, weddings, politics, the media, marketing.

Any planets you have in your Sagittarius ruled house will host a meet-up with Mercury over the next few weeks. Since Mercury's archetype is the 'fleet-footed messenger' and 'the magician' the more Sagittarius points and planets in your natal chart the more mental activity and Mercurian transformation you can likely expect. Our planets in the other mutable signs - Gemini, Virgo, Pisces - will be impacted by squares and oppositions.

NOW here comes the uber important part because Mercury isn't the only fellow calling Archer-ville home these days.

We still have Saturn in Sagittarius (since 2014 and just a few weeks from his Capricorn ingress) and he is very slowly and very methodically making his way toward the most important part of our universe - the Galactic Center otherwise known as the Black Hole in the center of the Milky Way otherwise known as 27 degrees Sagittarius.

Today, we have Mercury at 0 degrees Sagittarius and Saturn at 25 degrees Sagittarius.

On November 28th, Mercury (I have said he is fleet-footed, right?) catches up with Saturn and they meet at ... wait for it (drum-roll) ... the Galactic Center, black hole in the center of the Milky Way, 27 degrees Sagittarius (Saturn will be exact on the Galactic Center on November 24th - the culmination of his three year journey!).

Then five days later (December 3rd) Mercury stations retrograde and reverses his course.

Moving backward he meets up with Saturn AGAIN on December 6th (at 28 degrees Sagittarius still pretty much on the Galactic Center!) then continues back all the way to 13 degrees Sagittarius - during his retrograde journey he will have conversations with not only Saturn, but Mars, Venus, Chiron, Ceres, Pallas, Uranus, the North Node and remember he is in Sagittarius so answering to Jupiter and Jupiter is in Scorpio and answering to Pluto! This is HUGE.

(We are part of a spiral galaxy known as the Milky Way. It is 100,000 light years across and includes over 200 billion stars including our closest star, the Sun. All the stars we see in the sky are part of the Milky Way Galaxy. At the center of our Milky War Galaxy is a super-massive Black Hole.)

Normally Mercury is in a sign for about 3 weeks, his journey through Sagittarius will be more than 2 months!

What is possible now? Almost anything!!

One thing I am fairly certain about is we are seeing and will see MASSIVE releases of karma.

"You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes."

Yes, we've collectively agreed to take the RED PILL!

For now, pay attention to any news/information/conversations - whatever Mercury's ingress into Sagittarius carries. Often we get a hint of what a long transit will be about at the very start.

Googling the news I see we have Trump just arriving in Asia, there is a headline story about the Saudi Princes I haven't read, the Dem feud, Mueller's investigation, Hollywood sex scandals - some/all of this is probably important. I am searching in the a.m. and this transit really starts later in the day, so we will see what other news stories hit. There will be alot of BIG (Sagittarius) news (Mercury) during this transit!

With all of this happening in Sagittarius it will be about what we believe/truth. We will probably have to go all the way to late December or early January before we can separate fact from exaggeration.

This applies to our personal lives/lies, too. Big developments, key events will be triggered. There are squares to Chiron so, yes, there will be some painful revelations and decisions, but there are MANY sextiles (opportunities) and trines (brakes off) to keep us moving in the right direction. Lots of limiting beliefs will be unpacked and disguarded.

This is our karmic clean-up before Saturn comes home to Capricorn (where were you in February 1988 the last time Saturn was home?). THIS IS A BIG OPPORTUNITY. Now, some of this will be out of our hands, but we are powerful creators in our own right and there is alot we can do to help ourselves here.

We are now in a time when we can literally recreate any part of our lives. One small energetic push from each of us puts ALL OF US on a higher timeline with a different outcome. And we can see from the collective news we need to get off this timeline! We want to be on the path toward where we want to be before the cement starts to gets poured (ie Saturn comes home to Capricorn in late December).

Let's push.

Maybe start with a notepad.

First, list everything you want to eliminate from your life - bad habits, painful experiences you want to release, situations that have you bound. The stuff we no longer carry any passion for, and yes, it will likely be stuff we used to be quite passionate about. The people/ideas/beliefs we have given our power to that are no longer serving us. The North Node is in Leo - we need to be brave and follow our hearts here. Feel what it feels like without this load. Burn the paper. This is the stuff we aren't going to carry with us.

Make a second list. Here we will write what we want to create - new habits, experiences, ways of being and thinking. What inspires us? What makes us excited? What do we want to do with this one brief life? We can be specific and fly low here or go big and wide - the sky is the limit, except even that isn't true anymore.

The time for who we used to be is past. That's why we are all feeling unstable. We can see this all around us and feel the truth of it in our own hearts. Unless you carry alot of mutable energy this is all probably pretty uncomfortable and scary.

Maybe alot of what shifts as Saturn approaches the Galactic Center isn't stuff we can see, but as we travel the right path (heart-focused) we will be met, from the opposite direction, by exactly what/who we need to meet. Oxygen mask on your own face first everyone.

Let's take as many steps as possible toward as many things as are calling to us. For example, I am feeling the need to strengthen by backbone (yes, that backbone AND yes, that other backbone) so am taking a 14 day course on strengthening my spine

It doesn't matter precisely what steps we take. It doesn't have to be a big thing. Life can use whatever energy we put out.

xo all

I have been asked why I am making a photobooth when I already have a handmade jewelry business I love. I'm not sure. I made a make-shift photobooth for my sister-in-law's baby shower and it was alot of FUN. I had a trailer - sort of. I wanted work that was less labor intensive with the least negative environmental impact. I need to be around more people. I have never in my adult life thought about doing something because it could be fun for me. This is a hard truth to swallow because I am many decades into my life!

Of course, this project has turned out to be anything and everything BUT fun. Because I believe things need to be hard work in order to work, that is the truth (ie limiting belief) I have been met with at every turn. Also the scarcity thinking that I need to hold onto what I have. And the belief that I have to do everything myself.

I can see I have procrastinated many things about this new venture and been sidetracked multiple times and wonder if my heart is really in it anymore. If other people having fun is enough. Lately I keep picturing myself painting stars on the ceiling of the Shasta which probably wouldn't work for a photobooth ... so I am finishing the booth (sans stars) - but staying open to multiple possibilities ....

That could be the key now to alot of things - taking action AND staying open to other possibilities. Because everything is shifting and we don't know what we don't know.

Full Moon in Taurus | maximum value, a light on that empty corner, feeling under-appreciated, the smother mother, a season for everything, cue Doris Day

Q by geonebieridze

We kick off November with today's Full Moon in comfort-loving Taurus. Issues surrounding Taurus themes - our income, purchases, possessions, our values (conduct/conscience) and self-esteem are highlighted. Something here is wrapping up, coming to light or reaching its maximum value.

The Sun and Moon are squaring Ceres (in Leo). The Moon will be sextiling (opportunity) Neptune (retrograde in Pisces). The Sun will be trining (brakes off) Neptune. At the same time Venus (in Libra and the ruler of Taurus and this Full Moon) will be opposing Uranus (in Aries). And Uranus will be trining (brakes off) Saturn.

This could all be about one thing for us or play out in multiple situations. If you have planets or points around 11 degrees of the fixed signs - Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius - you will probably feel today's energy strongest.

The square to Ceres shows tension around any lack (or perceived lack) of comfort, shelter, security, nourishment or support. A light is thrown on what we don't have here. With Ceres in ego-driven (and love-hungry) Leo we could feel a need to be acknowledged or noticed for the ways we are providing any of these things to someone else. Again we will notice what we don't have - the ways what we do goes unappreciated.

If we look deeper (it is Scorpio season and the Sun is in Scorpio!) we could find something magnified out of proportion. The drive to feed any unmet needs could be fierce, but what are we really trying to fill here? Issues around mother, motherhood, food, security could be in play.

With a light thrown on any potential for loss now (again real or perceived) we could be afraid to loosen our grasp on anything we "own". The Ceres archetype is about cycles of birth, growth and death (read the mythology if you are not familiar with her story) - there is a time and a season for everything. But Taurus likes everything to remain just as it is. This Full Moon could be about us trying to hold on to a cycle that is ending ....

Today's positive aspects with watery Neptune tells us that anything running through our hands now is meant to go

Its release will free up our hands for more solid holdings.

Venus, the ruler of today's Full Moon, is opposite Uranus, so whatever is happening could be a total surprise or even a total reversal. Uranus will offer alternatives that we hadn't previously considered or been attracted to - the trine to Saturn tells us they could require a bit of time and patience and maybe some elbow grease, but they are there.

If we can release the Taurean hunger for what we think we want or need to keep we might just end up with something much better in the long run.

Whatever will be will be here. Cue Doris Day.

Hold on very loosely. A certain level of detachment will be helpful now. The more that Taurus bull digs in his heels, the greater the hole in the ground for us to deal with later. Stay malleable.

In some ways all of us are dealing with painful limits (Saturn square Chiron, exact this week and within orb for most of the rest of 2017). There is a need to figure out what we really value now and give our focus - time, attention and resources - to that. Working with what we have. Making the most of what we have.

With Saturn coming home to Capricorn in just a few weeks AND with the North Node in Leo - we need to balance the diverse themes of "winter is coming" (preparing for winter) WITH following our heart/joy. The space where these things intersect is our sweet spot. No one said this was going to be easy though.

Today's Moon in "let's get comfortable" Taurus is a time to get clear on what we really need and to appreciate what we already have.

I hope you have been getting outside and walking in it. xo all

Sun Trine Neptune, Venus Sextile Saturn, Inconjunct Chiron and Opposite Uranus | issues of stability, seeing the bigger picture, vision-boarding, compassion, feelings of not enough, avoiding manipulation, trust

Secret Garden by teruus

Today, we have the Sun (in Scorpio) trine Neptune (in Pisces) at 17 degrees. Venus (in Libra) sextile Saturn (in Sagittarius) and inconjunct Chiron (in Pisces) at 24 degrees. These are some of the energies that will carry us toward tomorrow's Full Moon in Taurus.

Let's look at today's three aspects.

There are opportunities now (Venus sextile Saturn) to stabilize a financial situation. Think quality over quantity. Long term investing is favored. Disciplined spending and savings pays off. This is good energy to pay down/off debt or to start a savings plan. Relationships launched now could be long-lasting, security-focused or between a younger/older person. Think mentor. People will be looking for a commitment.

We show love through taking care of our responsibilities and honoring our obligations. Excellent energy for business dealings. Excellent energy for women to work with and step into authority now.

Today's inconjunct to Chiron will point out something we "just have to live with" about our Venus situation. Maybe we don't have that committed relationship we want or the funds to do the thing we want to do. We could be feeling the ways we are not good enough, not liked enough or not attractive enough (maybe physically or maybe able to get what we want).

Remember Venus rules love, money, our values, women and our self-esteem.

Something hurts, but that sextile to Saturn tells us the opportunities come through time and wisdom and doing the responsible thing with our resources. There is a bigger picture we can be 'efforting' toward instead of bemoaning what we don't have (and I am not making light of what we don't have because the lack is real).

There is also an opposition between Venus and Uranus reaching perfection tomorrow signaling an unexpected event or need for change. Let's be gentle with each other.

We will talk about this more with the Full Moon post.

Which brings us to today's third aspect the Sun trining Neptune encouraging dreams, mergers, imagination, trusting our intuition, compassion and creativity.

This is excellent vision-boarding energy.

This aspect allows us to drift back from whatever situation we are dealing with (the Venus issue!).

It won't add clarity. Neptune doesn't clarify. But it can help us merge with the energies in a new way. To feel our way through.

Prayer works. Meditation works. The situation will turn out much better without our manipulations. Trust this.

xo all - back with the Full Moon post!

Saturn Square Chiron | restrictions, being made aware of our weaknesses, duty, guilt, obligations, NO, feeling stuck, wounding conversations, healing conversations, deep thinking, a karmic wrap-up

Deep, thoughts .. by Kenrocks

Today, we have Saturn (in his final two months in Sagittarius) squaring Chiron (in Pisces). This is their third and final square, since last December, in these two signs.

Check THURSDAY in the weekly HERE.

Saturn requires us to put in the hours and do the hard work. There are no short-cuts. I guarantee that as a reader of this blog, this is not a challenging concept for you.

If it was you wouldn't have read more than one post, because I am very Saturnian (Saturn natally one degree from my Aquarius Sun in my 3rd house of communication) and you would have been turned off and think I am "too negative" (which I can be, of course). You likely have some strong Saturn/Capricorn/10th house yourself with some hardy Virgo and/or Plutonian energy tossed in for good measure!

Now Chiron is not as well understood as Saturn.

He is a much more recent discovery and astrologers are still working him out. It would appear, based on the mythology, and what astrological researchers can see from studying hundreds/thousands of charts - that the space he occupies in our natal chart contains an un-healable wound. It is more of a "learn to live with it" kind of thing.

You can imagine with Saturn (work, time, limits, father) squaring the wounded healer (Chiron) multiple times this year - there would be a story, or various stories, of accepting some limit or restriction or being forced to deal with something we don't want to deal with.

With Saturn/Chiron this could be about a vulnerability passed down to us through our father's lineage.

Now, this time - maybe 3rd time is the charm - we have the gift of Mercury (in Scorpio) trining Chiron during his square to Saturn. There is a way out/back door here.

Mercury in Scorpio could require intensive research or puzzling through the problem. It could be about deep honesty - talking about whatever this is with another person or writing about it. This is not going to work unless we go deep (Scorpio) with our mind (Mercury).

If we are on the receiving end of a conversation like this, and someone is being vulnerable to us, it is important to hold a space for the other person's words. Don't judge. Let the person know you are listening. You don't have to have all or even any of the answers. There is a reason they are talking to you though. What are you hearing?

At the same time Mercury is inconjunct Uranus. Can anything be anything other than complicated this year! Ugh!

So the communication/information/language or the response to it could be unexpected and catch us off guard.

The Moon is in easy-to-anger Aries.

If we are tempted toward saying something hurtful - STOP - go after something easier to replace than a friend/job, etc - tear up the junk mail, break some sticks, take a LONG, sweaty walk.

There could be something that feels like failure here. We might be acutely aware of our past mistakes/shortcuts and the time we have wasted (which we didn't). We could be dealing with issues around emotional blackmail/guilt. Talk about what hurts. Write it down.

We are moving into a brand new age and truly we need to be not as emotionally connected to our past as we once were. We can't be and do what we need to do. Can you feel the truth of that?

I saw a documentary about a man who woke up on a subway with no memory. Eventually his family found him, but he didn't remember them and they didn't recognize him. He talked differently. He walked differently. He liked different clothes and movies and a different flavor of ice cream. This makes sense, right. All the experiences that impacted who he was were erased. He was/got to be a totally different person.

This isn't exactly what is happening to us as a collective as we move into a new world, but in some ways it is. We are evolving.

The sweet spot in a less emotional attachment to our past is the wide-open space that is being created to make new memories. Self-limiting beliefs about who we are and what we can do are being erased. We can work from our roots. It is actually freeing us up.

This might be a hard couple days for some people. Be gentle with ourselves and others. We really are all in this together.

(remember that long Void Moon starting at lunch time EDT)

Venus Sextile the North Node, Samhain| happy celtic new year, HAPPY HALLOWEEN, ancestral assistance, relationship from the past resurfaces, opportunities with women, cooperative efforts move us forward, agreements are reached

Sully, the mad scientist, at Saturday's Halloween party - not the photobooth camper -  this one might become a book mobile though!

Today is actually the first day of the Celtic New Year/first day of winter and was presided over by the Goddess Samhain. The ancients believed the veil between the worlds was thinnest now and certainly today's Moon in unbounded Pisces helps that along.

This is a good time to say a prayer for our ancestors well-being and also to ask them for their help. Our relationship with them works both ways. There was a scene in the Spielberg movie 'Amistad' where the brave Mende tribesman Sengbe Pieh stood in the crowded bowels of the slave ship and appealed to his ancestors for assistance, "I am the only reason you were ever born", he cried out. There is some truth to this. Not only in a physical sense of carrying a bloodline, but more importantly in the spiritual sense of "continuing their story".

The birth of my nephew, whose birth chart (natal chart from the moment he drew his first breath - in his case calculated by my brother down to the millisecond so he could give me the correct time) is such an exact representation of his parents' story at the time of his birth has convinced me our chart is not only a road-map for our personal journey (our spiritual contract) and a complete embodiment of that actual moment in time for us to carry for the collective, but also a perfect accounting of our parents' story through that moment the baton is passed and we pick up whatever bits and pieces we have agreed to work with. Of course, the same happened at their birth and their parents' birth and so on and so on back through time.

So complicated as to be unbelievable that all these pieces could fit so nicely together ... and yet they do.

The Pisces Moon encourages creative work and connecting with other people until the Moon goes void at 5:08PM EDT. It moves into Aries at 11:43PM EDT. A Void Moon during the trick or treating hours makes me think of people wandering around lost in the dark, so keep your children close. The Moon's last aspect before the void is a square to Saturn creating inflexibility and a need to follow the rules. This is NOT a good time to use drugs or overindulge in anything. Stay grounded. Keep your wits about you.

Today we also have Venus (strong in her home sign of Libra) sextiling the North Node (in Leo) at 21 degrees. Sextiles represent opportunities and Venus rules love, money, women, our values and self-esteem. At the same time she is, of course, trining (brakes off) the South Node (in Aquarius).

Whatever/whoever (a romance, woman, friendship, group, ideal) leaves now is meant to go. It should go smoothly. With Venus it could be a value or something we believe about ourselves/our situation that has outlived its usefulness.

Stay open to the opportunities that come up.

Maybe something or someone from the past resurfaces now. Maybe this is about carrying something we used to love with us as we journey forward - we are reminded somehow of what we need to keep.

There could be opportunities through women or through working with Venusian themes.

Cooperative efforts within relationships - both personal and business - create future opportunities. Agreements are reached. Relationships started now have a feeling of being fated.

Whatever this is for us, the energy is smooth and pleasant.

Enjoy the day. xo all

Mercury Square the North and South Nodes | mentally stuck, between the past and the future, finding the right words, opening our mind, sibling rivalry, as Jack would say, "you can't handle the truth!"

ncnb by StarofDavid
Today we have Mercury at 21 degrees (in Scorpio) squaring the North Node (in Leo) and the South Node (in Aquarius). The North Node is our collective way forward. The South Node is our collective past. Mercury is our mental abilities, communications and ideas.

As we mentally shift from the old into the new maybe something (a worn out belief about ourselves and the world we don't need to carry anymore) has us stuck. So we are given the gift of this square to bring things to a tension/crisis point and help shift our trajectory.

There is some information/conversation we need to work through or get past now. With Scorpio, it is probably something intimate and uncomfortable.

There is a choice here. We can retreat back into the detachment of that Aquarian South Node - maybe into the safety of being anonymous, of being the audience.

Or we can bravely (Leo) step into whatever this is for us and bring it out into the light and onto center stage.

There could be a fear of speaking out or standing up and apart from the group.

Maybe a new idea has taken root, but it requires us to do something new and unusual.

Maybe there is a truth we are afraid to hear (or speak) because then we will have to deal with it.

And yes, there could be challenges here - this is a square after all.

Remember our North Node is ALWAYS the path forward. So it is through Leo - following our heart, courage, confidence, generosity, showmanship - we move forward now.

That uncomfortably intimate conversation/idea may not be easy to work with. But we aren't getting out of this space - stuck between the future and the past - until we do. Trust yourself.

xo all

Note: since Mercury also rules siblings, our local environment and transportation - there could also be an issue within these themes, or the theme of our natal Scorpio house, that we need to 'get past'. This square is exact today but has been in play for a couple days and will be in play for a couple more.

Astrology Forecast for Creatives | Week of October 30th - rules, regulations, pressure, deadlines, asking for help, remaining open and vulnerable, honesty, letting go, conclusions, the real value of what we are left holding, truth

used goods by lans-bejbe

I am a little under the weather today with two store orders to get out on Monday, so will jump right to the big stuff and do the usual dailies during the week!

The larger celestial happenings start on THURSDAY when Saturn (in Sagittarius) squares Chiron (in Pisces) at 24 degrees.

The Saturn/Chiron square has been one of 2017's biggest aspects and this is our third go-round. We also had this square on December 28, 2016 (21 degrees) and April 30, 2017 (27 degrees). And Saturn and Chiron will square each other again in 2018, but by that time Saturn will be in Capricorn and Chiron will be in Aries - so the story will have shifted.

Squares are tension and change our trajectory. This one could hurt. Maybe we get a 'no' from an authority figure. Or maybe we are required to step into our own authority and say no. It's a good time to remember we learn from experience not from success or failure.

The results of our actions are sometimes out of our hands.

Maybe some obligation or responsibility or debt needs to be lived up to. Maybe some rule is rubbing us the wrong way or limiting us.

Maybe something about whatever hurts here feels familiar. How are our beliefs impacting this situation? What is really true here? When I see Saturn (time) and Chiron (wound) together I think of the old adage "time heals all wounds". Maybe this applies. Or maybe this will apply later.

The good news - and this will sound familiar from last week when Mercury sextiled Pluto! - is that Mercury is trining (brakes off) Chiron at the same time Chiron is squaring Saturn.

Mercury (in Scorpio) is our way through this tangle.

Honest and open dialogue. Thorough research. Deep communication. Conversations about the very stuff we don't want to talk about. The hurt could be something humbling here.

This is the most direct route to the assistance/guidance we need. This is where the buried treasure lies. There could be alternatives, resources and possibilities we hadn't thought about. At the very least there is room for understanding if we allow ourselves to be exposed and vulnerable - and yes, I realize the nights are getting chilly and this is the last thing we might want to be!

The Moon will go void at 12:03PM EDT until midnight. Not a good time for launching anything new or sending anything out you need something to "come of".

Late FRIDAY/early SATURDAY we have the Full Moon in Taurus (Sun in Scorpio).

We'll discuss it more thoroughly later in the week - this could all be about one thing for us or play out in multiple situations.

Full Moons are culmination points. They bring things to light. They brings things to a conclusion. They send us howling into the night.

The positive aspects with watery Neptune tells us that anything running through our hands now (dissolving) is meant to go. Its release will free up our hands for more solid holdings.

With Uranus (the unexpected) opposing the Moon's ruler Venus whatever is coming to light or concluding now could be surprising or pull us off into an entirely new direction.

Some people will get lucky. Something could reach its maximum value now.

Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius and I am going to stop writing we are moving into the Age of Aquarius and just say we are in it! I think we can all feel this. There is no "normal" anymore. There is only change and resistance to change.

That square with nurturing Ceres tips us off to potential tension regarding motherhood or growth or security issues.

Again the Taurus/Scorpio contrast between what we have and what we want/need/don't have. We will talk about this later in the week.

Will be back with the dailies.

BIG xo all

Note - Pisces Moons on Monday (beginning mid-morning) and Tuesday are excellent energy for dreaming, creative work, connecting with people on a deeper level - also to drift off-course. Keep this in mind.

Venus Square Pluto | Mercury Sextile Pluto - wanting what we can't have, wanting what someone else has, wanting more, deep thinking, honest communications, what our yearnings are trying to show us

shhh by theluckynine
See the weekly forecast HERE

Today, we have Venus (strong in Libra) squaring (tension) Pluto (in Capricorn) at 17 degrees with Mercury (in Scorpio) sextiling (opportunity) Pluto. If you have been watching the beautiful waxing Moon, it probably won't surprise you that we also have the first quarter Moon (in Aquarius).

Pluto squares are about power, passion, control and truth.

Maybe we don't have something we want and with Venus we will be feeling the space that sits empty/maybe stagnant with our longing - there could be manipulation, obsession, compulsion, power plays involved here.

These are the emotional reactions that tell us something deeper is going on - within us. We have squashed something down that we don't want to look at and now it is rearing its head in misshapen ways. Likely coming out through relationship issues, financial issues or issues involving women (or beauty/aging). Calling out for attention. Calling out for communication.

Maybe we want more than is even possible from a situation/person. Maybe we are comparing ourselves to other people. Maybe our ambitions with something are not in line with divine timing.

Whatever this is, the opportunity (sextile) lies with today's Plutonian contact with Mercury (communication, conversation, local environment, siblings, transportation, information, thoughts). Something from that Mercurian word salad, most-likely the "communication, thinking" themes present the real opportunity for growth here.

This isn't so much about getting what we want as it is about looking at why we really want it. Venus has been a big player in 2017, none of this is really new news. It could be a fresh situation though. Maybe not.

Think through what is happening. Think about what you are feeling. When have you felt this way before? What is this current situation really stirring up? What are you really afraid of? Maybe this kind of thinking process is enough. Maybe this thinking needs to shared/communicated with another person, though not necessarily the person you are dealing with (if that is what is happening).

Maybe a mentor or authority figure (maybe an actual Capricorn person).

Maybe after working it through ourselves mentally, an honest/open discourse within the relationship/other people involved will allow us to figure out what is really going on. The energy may not be quite ripe for a solution, but maybe the tension (the square) can be diluted enough that we can all sleep at night.

Today's energy could push yesterday's optimism into the "punch drunk" territory. Keep this in mind.

We also have the first quarter square Moon (in Aquarius). Whatever started at last week's New Moon - and something ALWAYS starts, the reason we set our intentions is to have some input - hits an obstacle.

With Aquarius we could need to consider outside points of view or maybe what we are doing isn't meeting with the approval of others. If we are feeling defensive or defiant - take a breath. This might require some flexibility and Aquarius is fixed air - not wanting to bend. Can we bend without breaking? Without losing control? Not because we are doing anything wrong, but because maybe there is a better way we can't see through the dense Aquarian "know-it-all" energy.

And yet we need to follow our heart here. This isn't about tossing away our authenticity, but let's stay flexible. We can't bend so much we snap in two like a twig, but we can't remain so stiff we will surely break anyway. The first quarter Moon is the time of adjustment. So adjust.

The Aquarius Moon every month is good energy to work with people via the internet and attend to independent online work.

Sun Conjunct Jupiter | do you feel lucky, hidden resources coming to light, if more isn't better, staying positive, when you change the way you look at things the things you look at change, taking action, doing something new

by raetselleben

The Sun meets up with expansive Jupiter at 3 degrees Scorpio today.

See the weekly forecast HERE where we explore the "lucky" aspect of this transit. We all kick off a new Jupiter cycle and if you have a birthday this week you will be exploring this Sun/Jupiter energy all year! You lucky duck you!

A light (the Sun) shines on a Scorpion theme (or the theme of our natal Scorpio house) and it expands in a Jupiterian way. Something is growing here. Likely our optimism about a particular situation. With the Sun exposing Jupiter, ruler of our beliefs - we have the chance to change/expand our world-view to improve a situation.

This is all happening in Scorpio and Scorpio rules the taboo. The stuff we have pushed down deep and don't really want to look at. Certainly the stuff we don't talk about in polite society; sex, death, taxes. In Scorpio, we merge - ourselves and our resources with other people.

Maybe, something in the shadows is brought into the light now. The Jupiterian energy creates expansion and - although it doesn't offer a notarized guarantee of a positive outcome - due to the power of positive thinking, usually things will turn out well in the long run.

Maybe an opportunity or resource we hadn't previously considered comes to our attention now.

We could find we have more power than we thought we did or more additional outside help

(possibly even via a Santa Claus figure - Jupiter - or a father figure - the Sun).

This is excellent energy to get something started. Do you know the theme of your natal Scorpio house? There is a natural fresh start offered there, but any area of life can benefit from a kick-off that carries this powerhouse combination.

The fly in the ointment with Sun/Jupiter in Scorpio is that problems can get magnified and grow now, too. Expansion sounds good in theory, but much depends on what is expanding! And more isn't always better. Remember the jam study.

The good news for us - bad news for the fly - is the very fact this situation has our attention and energy NOW tells us there are opportunities ripe for development in here somewhere.

Cast a wider net. Stay positive.

There could be a connection with information from the October 18th Mercury/Jupiter conjunction. Something there gains traction here.

It's important to remember Jupiter is a planet made up entirely of gases. We could take something too far over-the-top now. That's what this energy is pushing us to do - to take a chance, to go for it.

The Moon is in stable Capricorn today, but by tomorrow will be in anything-can-happen Aquarius and we could be moving far outside our comfort zones especially in regard to money and relationship situations. Keep in mind we are flying in a hot air balloon.

By Saturday/Sunday our Jupiterian optimism could be as deflated as the balloon which has now landed. I hesitate to even write this, since I am sure some readers with strong Virgo or Saturn placements will see this as a stop sign. It isn't.

The balloon has given us a wonderful view of possibilities. These are real things.

Every move we make, every chance we take, shifts our current timeline (and yes, I'll be watching you*).

By next week we will have a better view of where this all stands. The Sun will have "enlightened" us, Jupiter will have expanded the situation and we will be ready to take action.

Please don't take this as a call to sit back and wait until next week.

Life doesn't work this way. What we do today impacts next week. And the weeks after that. We can only connect the dots looking backward, never forward (who said that? Steve Jobs I think). We can't see how everything is falling into place until later.

The North Node is still in brave and heart-centered Leo - move toward what your heart wants.

The Moon is in Capricorn. Let's get to work - our potential for success is greatly increased now. And let's buy a lottery ticket, too, because you never know ....

* although now that I think about the Police lyrics they may not fit terrible well - still a good song though.

And speaking of police, Olive's barking yesterday afternoon alerted me to a 'police situation' in my own backyard - well, front yard. A storm was kicking up and I usually ignore Olive's barking during storms since she gets stressed and uber-determined to alert me to anything that moves out there, even something like a blowing piece of paper. She barks at the window and then runs toward me. Back and forth. Again and again. And again.

For some reason I got up and went to the window to see what intruder ie lost receipt she was barking at this time.

There was a line of about 10 policemen dressed in black riot gear sneaking along my neighbor's fence (across the street). Their movements were in unison almost like a marching band, but instead of oboes and tubas they were carrying guns and shields. It was gut wrenching for a moment there.

I should mention I live in a very quiet, very small town and this particular house is right next to the town hall which contains the state police barracks!

The police proceeded to break in my neighbor's front door and charge into the house. Of course, I went upstairs for a better view and pulled over a chair, cursing myself for having sold George's old binoculars at the yard sale (every single time I sell something I haven't used in 15 years I need it. what the hell is that?).

Anyhoo, they proceed to, I assume, since I can't see what is happening inside the house, this particular neighbor always has their blinds closed - tear the place apart for a few hours.

The police finally leave. I can't tell if any of my neighbors leave with them because the action had moved to the side of the house out of my view.

The front door opens and I can see the outline of someone inside the house. They look like they are fiddling with the broken lock, etc (I should say I wasn't sitting and watching all morning, but I did seem to be looking at all the right times!). Suddenly a GIANT cross drops from over top of the front door and hangs there on a rope. Like a two foot tall cross. On a door that has never even held a holiday wreath.

I am thinking this is either a prayer to the Gods to leave them in peace or a signal to someone that the place isn't safe to enter, the way red crosses on doors would alert outsiders that sick people were in a house and not to come in. It's very ... odd.

I don't know these neighbors. And there is a wide assortment of them in different ages. The women all seem to go to work (or they go somewhere fairly regularly, sometimes with children buckled into carseats). The men all seem to walk uptown for cigarettes and coffee and then slink back into the house. They were friendly enough during the Memorial Day Parade when they gave Sully the candy they collected from the marchers who tossed toward their side of the street.

I have been googling 'drug bust farmingdale nj' but so far nothing. Maybe the drug bust was a bust.

There seems to be fewer cars over there. Of course, hubs has been suspicious of them since they moved in and now feels vindicated. His suspicions were mostly due to his thinking that 1. there are just too many of them and 2. one of the bedroom window's lights is too bright and on all the time. That nothing good/legal could be happening in a bedroom that well-lit.

I am not so sure. I tend to think most of the time it's the hidden stuff we have to watch out for. Except I can't anymore because I sold those damn binoculars!

At least I have my 18 pound guard dog to alert me when my neighbors get arrested ... or a slip of paper drifts into our yard. And hubs to keep an eye out for bright lights and suspicious groups of people. Now I just need to hunt up a new pair of binoculars ... probably at someone else's garage sale.

Mercury trine Neptune | instinctual decisions, healing conversations, sensitivity, creativity, compassion, connection, fantasy, facts are slippery, softening our words, silence is golden, body language

Us by goodmuiscgoodpeople

Today we have Mercury (in Scorpio) trining (brakes off) Neptune (in Pisces) at 11 degrees.

Our greatest ease comes through connecting these two energies.

Maybe we make decisions (Mercury) using our intuition/imagination (Pisces) - I wouldn't make any BIG decisions with today's energy though - since the truth could be slippery. Maybe something we hear or read or say (Mercury) is healing/connecting (Pisces). Maybe the answers (Mercury) come through meditation and prayer (Pisces). Maybe our thinking (Mercury) is creative (Pisces). Maybe it is time to speak (Mercury) our dreams (Neptune) out loud.

If we are talking about or learning about (Mercury) Piscean/Neptunian subject matter - healing, spirituality, art, poetry, music, photography, addiction issues, escapist tendencies, etc - our mind won't be focused on the details, but we will be able to feel the bigger picture here.

Maybe without focusing on the dots, the dots can finally be connected.

Our senses, especially if not fogged up with sugar (at least in my case), are heightened now. We know what people are really saying no matter what words they are using and other people will be picking up on the subtle, often unconscious, clues we are putting out.

So, if someone says to us today, "why are you so angry?" and at first we think they are nuts and we are not angry. Well, maybe we will stop - we have the benefit of astrology! - and go a little deeper (scan our body for tension, feel their words instead of immediately discounting them). They could be picking up on something we are not wanting to look at/talk about. On the other hand with Mercury trine Neptune - they could actually be nuts. It will be hard to tell. :)

Silence could speak louder than words now. Really listen.

Mercury and Neptune are sextiling Juno (in Capricorn).

So, today's communication is likely to offer the greatest opportunities (sextile) within partnerships (Juno ruled) - both personal and business (Capricorn).

Contracts and commitments can be talked about in a way that is connecting rather than alienating now. Both parties can feel heard. Our dreams can merge together. Scorpian secrets and taboo subject matter (Mercury is in Scorpio, don't forget) can be discussed.

There is alot of water involved so emotions could run high. The sextile to Capricorn should stabilize the whole thing though and the energies involved should help soothe the situation.

Mars is in Libra - nobody really wants to fight now anyway.

We truly are all in this together.

Remember, see the weekly forecast HERE, that the Sagittarius Moon goes void from 12:44PM EDT to 8:12PM EDT and then moves into Capricorn. You know the drill with that one.

Sun into Scorpio | what makes your heart beat so hard in your chest that you fear it will explode like a ripe watermelon tossed off the back of a moving truck - do more of THAT

.everything else by corollary

See the weekly forecast HERE.

Late, last night the Sun moved from Libra into deep and murky Scorpio (and my Scorpio friend tells me she wants me to find words other than deep and murky, but really what other words are there - ha!).

With Jupiter recently ingressed into Scorpio, too, the Sun and Jupiter will be traveling close together (exact on Thursday) for the next few days.

Through November 2018 - Jupiter in Scorpio - what we do in the dark/what we carry in the shadows expands. During the Sun in Scorpio season (through November 21st) a light is thrown on this stuff. Likely through a greater intimacy with someone else/other people. And also through a greater intimacy with ourselves.

Trust issues and control issues bubble up. Mars is in Libra as of yesterday shifting our energy toward shared experiences.

Scorpio is about passion. What are we passionate about? What makes us excited? What makes us so angry we see red? What makes our heart thump so hard in our chest that we fear explosion?

I have a Scorpio friend, yes, the same one solidly opposed to "dark and murky" who told me she is most passionate about time alone with a good book.

Well, maybe this is a time for her to admit this need to herself openly - schedule a good chunk of weekly time to read (rather than a few minutes here and there while waiting in the car for her kids), schedule time to research for good books, leisurely visit the library, join a book club, etc.

She could think about the subject matter she is most passionate about - in her case, European history. How can she take her passion with that deeper? How can she use her passion to deepen her connection with other people?

Since Neptune square Saturn - the major transit of 2016 - it has been hard to know what is true. It has actually always been hard/impossible to know what is true (because we are all looking out through different eyes and seeing different things), but since last year everyone has pretty much been awake to this.

It has created a great deal of instability and discomfort for all of us and in particular for people who need things to be black and white.

People who need to be right. People who need to be good. People who need to be in control. Where is Capricorn in your natal chart? Where is Virgo? Where is Saturn? We all carry this energy to a greater or lesser extent.

And, of course, we can only be right when we label someone else as wrong and we can only be good when we label someone else as bad. Without scapegoats we would actually have to own our own crap. And no matter how many New Age books tell us otherwise we will never really be in control during our days on Planet Earth.

There are probably other realities for that.

The more I look at astrology charts and the more I talk to people about them, the clearer it becomes that our road maps (natal charts) and the subsequent transits over the course of our lives to those road maps are more relevant and more nuanced than we could ever imagine. Our beliefs, the way we see the world (our natal chart) become our reality, our way of connecting with the world, and then the world reacts/responds to us.

Maybe the biggest question we all face right now is how to live our own truth, even when that truth is not supported by other people and even when that truth does not support other people. Ouch. What is it we want that we don't want to look at/own up to?

And just as important - how can we hold a space for other people to live their truth even when we do not agree with them? Even when it hurts us. More ouch.

Modern life is not for sissies.

We are living in the days between the Age of Pisces (religion, patriarchy) and the Age of Aquarius (science, equality).

We can see far enough ahead now to understand that we could get this science/equality thing very wrong, very fast, if we are not careful.

If we lose our heart (Leo). If we lose our connection to our passion (Scorpio).  If we lose our connection to each other (Neptune). It is Pisces that rules our eternal connection, spirituality, love. Aquarius rules disconnection and chaos. What do we really need to carry with us because there is only so much room on the ark.
